Message from Lynn Courey
Dear members of Sashbear's FC family,
I am very much looking forward to seeing many of you, in large numbers, at this year’s Sashbear 5k walk. This yearly flagship event has grown to be an expression of hope and solidarity, a gathering that shows families and friends with loved ones impacted by mental health challenges that they are not alone, that compassion and understanding can truly make a difference. As a member of the Family Connections™ Sashbear family, this walk is for YOU, so join me on Sunday May 26 with family and friends and help us make waves on mental health!

The walk is less than 30 days away!
Register soon. The EARLY BIRD deadline is MAY 7th at the low price of $30. Students can register for $25:
Did you know that you can also sponsor an individual or team? There are prizes for the individual/team that raises the most money. You can create or join a team or register as an individual. We already have more than 15 teams registered!
M/C for the event is John Ralston, actor. Musical entertainment will be R. Shelley and Don Campbell. Canadian Olympic swimmers Heather and Brittany MacLean will be at the finish line.
Why register, donate, or volunteer?
The walk is The Sashbear Foundation’s largest awareness and fundraising event. Proceeds from the walk help Sashbear deliver on its mission which includes delivery and expansion of NEABPD’s evidence-based Family Connections™ program so that “no family is left behind”. The program is free for participants, facilitated by volunteers, and there is no requirement for a diagnosis or referral. Wouldn’t it be nice for everyone to access this amazing program and gain skills and hope? You can help make this happen…
