THE WEB WALK WAS A GREAT SUCESS

We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at the outpouring of support for our first-ever Web Walk. Hundreds joined our online celebration of hope on Sunday May 24. We are humbled by the heartfelt shares from our panelists, the kind words from our attendees and the powerful solidarity. This has proven to us once again that, even in difficult times, we are stronger together.

In addition to our amazing featured guests, we had incredible participation by the Sashbear community and friends of Sashbear all around the world. The videos, pictures and messages made the Web Walk such a fun and moving experience—you were the magic that made it all come to life.

THE WEB WALK CAMPAIGN EXTENDED TO JUNE 1st

In response to ongoing donations (thank you!), we have decided to extend our campaign until June 1st – there are two days left to donate, if you can. Not only did we surpass our initial goal of $60,000, we are now just shy of $70,000. Thanks to you, these funds will continue to support families across Canada with the critical Family Connections™ program.

In 2019, Sashbear ran over 80 Family Connections™ groups across Canada. In that year alone, these groups reached 1,100 family members by teaching them the skills needed to reduce stress, increase empowerment and better support their loved ones on their mental health journey. This year, with COVID-19, Sashbear has shifted its focus to online skills delivery—“alone, at home, and together”. Sashbear continues to shine bright in the mental health community, spreading the message of skills and hope through conference engagements and research projects all over the world.
